Which IPTV box should you choose in Morocco?
In most cases, no box is needed: a recent smart TV is enough. A box becomes useful when the TV dates from before 2016, when its system no longer receives updates, or when you want the same interface on several screens in the household.
Do you really need a box?
A Samsung TV running Tizen or an LG running webOS made after 2016 installs a player from its own store: a box adds nothing. An older model, on the other hand, no longer receives an up-to-date player, and that is where external hardware takes over.
The limit: a box never fixes an inadequate connection. If playback degrades in the evening, changing hardware will change nothing — it is the speed you need to measure.
How do the different types of hardware compare?

Which criteria make hardware reliable?
Four features predict stability far better than the brand:
- An Ethernet port. It is the clearest gain over home Wi-Fi in the evening.
- At least 2 GB of RAM. Below that, the interface lags as soon as the programme guide loads.
- Hardware decoding. It takes load off the processor and prevents overheating during long sessions.
- A system that still gets updates. A device abandoned by its manufacturer becomes a problem within the year.
How much does hardware cost, and who sells it?
Hardware is bought from a retailer, in a shop or online: we do not sell any device. The Onets.ma platform covers software access only, and this separation is deliberate — it leaves you free to choose your hardware and avoids tying your subscription to an object.
HDMI sticks sit at the bottom of the range, decent Android boxes in the middle, and high-end models only bring a gain if you are aiming for 4K on several screens. Your real need follows from the speed available, detailed in the article on the speed you need.
The trap of “all channels included” boxes
Some devices are sold preloaded, with the promise of unlimited, permanent access. There are two reasons to avoid them: the promise of permanent access assumes zero running costs, which does not exist; and a device delivered with content already installed raises the question of where the rights to that content come from, covered in the article on the legal framework.

Does a more expensive box give a better picture?
Not beyond a certain threshold. Once hardware decoding and Ethernet are present, quality depends on the source and the line, no longer on the price of the device.
Can the same hardware be used in two homes?
Moving to another home or network is possible with the same device, but it is best to let support know. The account remains limited to a single active device and must not be shared.
